Inu Kea Kaya is a Huni Kuin musician, singer, and carrier of ancestral wisdom from the village of Boa Vista, located in the Indigenous territory of Kaxinawá Alto Rio Jordão, deep in the Brazilian Amazon.
He is the son of Meka Sales, a respected Pajé and Txana — a traditional healer and guardian of sacred songs — and the grandson of Tuin Romão Sales, a legendary leader and voice in the spiritual self-determination of the Huni Kuin people.
From an early age, Inu was immersed in the spiritual, musical, and plant medicine traditions of his people. Under the guidance of his family and elders, he grew up learning the Huni Meka (chant of the vine), sacred dietas, and the ceremonial knowledge passed down through generations.
His music is sung in Hatxa Kuin, the language of the Huni Kuin, and carries the vibration of the forest — a prayer, a teaching, and an offering. With each song, Inu shares not only melodies, but the living memory of his culture, the spirit of the plants, and a call to reconnect with the Earth, with joy, and with the deeper self.
